Mesothelioma
Funds Administration

If you are a US military veteran (or a family member of one) who has been diagnosed with mesothelioma or asbestos-related lung cancer, this short intake helps us point you to the right next step. There is no cost and no obligation. We do not handle your VA claim ourselves — that is a Veteran Service Officer’s job, and the VSO is free. We help families understand the parallel benefit pathways that most veterans never claim: the asbestos bankruptcy trust funds, the Camp Lejeune PACT Act, Dependency and Indemnity Compensation for surviving spouses, and the trust-fund-and-VA simultaneous-pursuit option.

Who this is for

  • A veteran who has been diagnosed with mesothelioma or lung cancer and had documented asbestos exposure during service.
  • A spouse, adult child, or other family member helping the veteran navigate benefits.
  • A surviving spouse of a veteran who died of an asbestos-related disease.
  • A family member or civilian who lived or worked at Camp Lejeune between 1953 and 1987.

What we will do with the information

We will read what you send and reply with:

  • Which compensation pathways apply to the situation you describe (VA, trust funds, PACT Act, DIC, or some combination).
  • Which evidence the VA typically looks for in a case like the one you describe.
  • How to find a free Veteran Service Officer in your area to file the VA claim.
  • What questions to ask a qualified asbestos trust fund attorney for the trust-fund analysis (a separate professional from the VSO).
  • Whether the Camp Lejeune PACT Act applies and what the current filing window is.

We do not file your VA claim. We do not file your trust fund claims. We do not represent you in any legal matter. We help families understand the pathways and connect with the right professionals. Everything we discuss is informational; specific legal advice for your case is given by the qualified attorney you choose.

Before you submit

If you have these documents handy, the conversation moves faster:

  • The veteran’s DD-214 (or the date and branch of service if not yet retrieved).
  • The diagnosis: pathology report or written diagnosis from the treating physician.
  • The veteran’s MOS, AFSC, rate, or occupational specialty, plus any ship or base assignments.
  • If the veteran has died: death certificate.

If you do not have these yet, that is fine. The intake form does not require them. Bring what you have.
